April 23 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Randal Maurice Jelks joins the Hall Center for the Humanities Speaker Series at the University of Kansas in Lawrence for an evening conversation with Dr. Maryemma Graham, one of the foremost scholars of African American literature. Together they will explore My America: Langston Hughes and the Making of a New Democracy, examining Hughes’ radical vision, his place in the Black literary tradition, and the urgent relevance of his democratic ideals today. The Hall Center Speaker Series is one of the region’s premier humanities events, and this promises to be an unforgettable evening. Books will be available through Raven Bookstore.
